Hedges & Highways Camperships

We don’t want kids to miss out on a week of summer camp because they don’t have the financial means to attend. The Camp Eagle Campership Fund provides full scholarships to underprivileged campers so they can enjoy and experience the unique benefits of Christian camping.

In Luke 14:23, Jesus said in His parable on the Great Supper that the Master said to “go out into the hedges and highways, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”  Because of many friends and donors to the Campership Fund we can invite kids from different places, backgrounds, and cultures to have a phenomenal week of extraordinary fun activities, make new friends, eat scrumptious food, and hear what it means to have a relationship with God in a beautiful outdoor environment. We call these weeks the Hedges and Highways Campership Weeks.

Hedges & Highways Campership Weeks for 2017:

Junior week 1 (ages 8-12) ~ July 3-7

Teen Week (ages 12-18) ~ July 31 - August 4

Junior Week 2 (ages 8-12) ~ August 7-11

These weeks not only provide the full scholarships to attend Camp Eagle, but also the transportation from the Check-In Station at Shenandoah Baptist Church (located at 6520 Williamson Road, Roanoke) to Camp Eagle.

If you’d like to attend one of these weeks, please click the button below to read the general information sheet and register your Camper.

There is limited space for these weeks and they fill up fast!

PRE-Registered campers (registrations that are received in the office by 1:00PM FRIDAY before the Monday Camper Check-in thru online registration, dropped off personally or mailed prior to the camp week are considered PRE-Registered) are first in line.  Registrations at Check-in will be accepted on a “first-come, first-served” basis as space allows.  The PRE-registered Campers will be accepted FIRST and those FIRST in the line for PRE-Registered Campers will be accepted FIRST.  So it is very important your camper arrives early and is in line early!  Those on the waiting list will be added as space become available. Campers may only attend one week.

It is very important your camper arrives at Shenandoah Baptist Church no later than 8:30AM.  Their place in line does matter.  There will be two lines, one for PRE-registered campers and one for those that are not pre-registered.  Make sure you are in the correct line.
