Camp Eagle’s Dress Standard
Our guidelines are in place to ensure all campers are comfortable, dressed modestly, and distractions are minimized. Our desire is to teach young people to have a mind fixed on, focused on, and fashioned after Christ. The following is Camp Eagle’s dress standard:
Guys: Tank tops and sleeveless shirts are NOT permitted. Shirts must cover the mid-section when the hands are raised.
Girls: Tank tops and sleeveless shirts are NOT permitted. Shirts must cover the mid-section when the hands are raised. Shorts must reach to at least the center of the thigh. Only modest swimsuits are permitted. Most one-piece swimsuits are encouraged but two-piece swimsuits are permitted as long as the top piece is long enough to touch the bottom piece. Dresses and skirts should be able to touch your knees when in a seated position. Low-cut shirts are not allowed. Tight-fitting garments are not permitted.
Evening Service Guidelines —The way we dress helps bring soberness and reverence to the evening service.
Male staff should wear collared shirts to evening worship services. Female staff are asked to wear dresses, skirts, or jeans without rips or holes.
Wednesday evenings the staff will wear their staff shirt. Guys should have khaki shorts and girls should have dark jeans with no rips.
Other Suggested Guidelines – These are not required, but highly suggested for you and your campers:
Wear appropriate shoes – Wear shoes appropriate for the camp and activities. One of the main sources of injury at Camp Eagle is twisted ankles from inappropriate shoes. Flip-flops should never be worn for activities and hiking. They are designed for beach and bathing use. Sandals should have backs that can be securely fastened, but are NOT appropriate for games and activities.
Wear appropriate socks. Another common injury is blisters from wearing shoes without socks.
