The picnic tables in the Haven are being repurposed all round camp to provide more spaces for small groups and activities.

The Campership Fund

Camp Eagle is a non-profit organization, and we make every effort to minimize camper costs each summer. One way we accomplish this is through the generous, tax-deductible donations of people like you.

Our Campership Program provides scholarships to anyone who needs assistance with the cost of any camp event. We have never turned anyone away because of an inability to pay. Through the Campership Program, scholarship money is provided by friends of Camp Eagle and members of Shenandoah Baptist Church in Roanoke, VA. The majority of these Camperships are given to “inner-city” young people. Camp history has shown half of these campers make a profession of faith in Christ. Your contribution in full ($395) or part is “an investment that brings eternal dividends.”

The Mae Scholarship

In the summer of 2020, Maegen attended Camp Eagle with her youth group. She was challenged and encouraged to give God every part of her life. Mae served as Camp Counselor the following summer. The staff poured into her and Mae was able to spend time with the children and tell them about Jesus. She was able to use her creative gifts and really connect with campers. She prayed each one would give their heart to Christ. Mae found a family at Camp Eagle and she loved them.

Maegen’s last summer in this world was spent doing what she loved at Camp Eagle.  She went to be with Jesus, on March 26, 2022.  She was 16 years old.  His love for us was so great that He gave His Son to be the sacrifice for us so we could have eternal life with Him.  That is a truth that our hope is anchored in.  That is a truth that Maegen wanted everyone to hear and it is the Truth that this wonderful camp and staff want to share.  Mae would want every child to attend Camp Eagle so they could hear about the God of the Universe and how much He loves them. Donations to this very special scholarship will be used to fulfill Mae’s heart’s desire “that every child will have the opportunity to know and understand who Jesus is and that He loves them”.

Camp Facility Improvement

One of our goals is to enhance the camper experience by providing clean, comfortable, quality facilities. Over the last several years, we have been improving our facilities and adding new ones. Resources to do this have been provided through many Camp Eagle friends and generous donations. We are very excited about the improvements and invite you to help us continue this great progress!

Development Fund and Specific Needs

Because we have such great friends and partners who want to generously help our camp ministry, we are often asked about specific needs. A list of some of the needs is below. These items help us in our ministry to others. Integrity is very important to us, therefore if you donate to a specific need we will only use that donation for that purpose. Otherwise, designating your donation to the “development fund” gives us more flexibility to purchase these and other priority items as our camp changes and grows.
