The Mae Scholarship Fund

We would like to share with you about our beautiful daughter, Maegen.  Mae loved Jesus, her family, her Mt. Lebanon Family and her friends.  She enjoyed making people laugh and reminding people not to take themselves too seriously.  She was brave and bold and appreciative and beautiful!  We have to mention her dimples!  Her daddy always said you could make Hershey kisses in her dimples. Her smile lit up the room.  Mae liked lipstick and big earrings.  She usually had her nails painted and her high-healed boots on.  She brought sunshine and life everywhere she went.  Maegen loved fiercely and was protective of those closest to her.  She knew how to dream big and then go after those dreams.

Maegen Jewel Kramb, our “Mae Mae”, was born in 2005.  She was the fifth child of ten.  The centerpiece not only in number but also in her role in the family.  Everyone looked to Mae.  She loved not only with words but with conviction and compulsion.  Mae was determined to do the things many of us would just talk about.  She was a fearless performer who loved to sing, dance, and make people smile.  Maegen was and will always be a gift to our family and to those she met.  Mae was only 3 days old when she became very ill.  We found out there was a problem with her stomach that would require major surgery.  It would be high risk but necessary and there were no guarantees of her survival.  We call Maegen our miracle because those were the words of the surgeon that night when he explained what he saw.  Whatever was blocking her intestines was gone.  She made a full recovery and the testimony of a little girl, 5 days old, brought many people closer to the Lord.

At the age of 5, Maegen asked Jesus to be her Savior.  As her love for Him grew so did her desire for others to know Him.  When Mae was between 8-12 years old she would hand out Gospel tracts to people in the grocery store.  She was compelled to tell people about Jesus.  Maegen prayed often for her family and friends that did not know Jesus.

In the summer of 2020, Maegen attended Camp Eagle with her MLBC youth group.  That week she was challenged and encouraged to give God every part of her life.  Later, she began praying about serving at Camp Eagle as a counselor.  We are thankful she was given the opportunity to serve at camp the following summer. The staff poured into her and Mae was able to spend time with the children and tell them about Jesus.  She was able to use her creative gifts and really connect with campers.  She prayed each one would give their heart to Christ.  Mae found a family at Camp Eagle and she loved them.
